The Vision
The Premium Project was created with the vision of further developing the Egyptian agricultural sector to unimaginable new heights. All the organizations that have come together to implement and sustain the Premium Project have a shared vision of a new and improved Egypt. We believe that by helping Egyptian small growers meet the stated requirements of GLOBALG.A.P. and Fairtrade standards, Egypt could potentially be one of the greatest exporters of fresh produce around the world.
The Mission
The Premium Project intends to help the Egyptian small growers earn the trust of the international fresh produce supply chain through an integrated capacity building program encompassing the requirements of GLOBALG.A.P. and Fairtrade standards, particularly with a focus on consumers' expectations. Compliance to Fairtrade and GLOBALG.A.P standards will ensure transparency, sustainability, mitigate food safety and social risks, as well as empower the small growers and the broader community.
