Based on the stated requirements of GLOBALG.A.P. (IFA V.4 - Option 2) and
FAIRTRADE standard for small producer organizations, a "Food Safety and
Quality Management System" has been developed by Blue Moon and is now
integrated with a web-based application that is developed by Modern Vision,
Canada.
Growers record their daily activities in a printed diary based on the
instructions they receive during the capacity building program. An extension
officer uses an off-line version of Modern Farm application to collect
information from the growers on a weekly basis, and he uploads the information
to the web-based application at a later stage to ensure long-term
sustainability, transparency and traceability of products and activities. To
