Independent Monitoring of Legality and Food Safety
Food Experts in Spain run a global Pesticide Monitoring Scheme for fresh fruits and vegetables which is designed to help retailers and importers monitor, control, and reduce pesticide levels and usages in the fresh produce they source. The Food Experts Pesticide Monitoring Scheme process involves independent sample taking, laboratory approval, global and open system, intelligent data management and data sharing.
This scheme has proven to be efficient in reducing incidences with pesticide residues and increasing transparency and trust between the supply chain and customers.
With aspect to the rising need to eliminate microbiological hazards, the Premium Project requested Food Experts to also take independent samples for microbiology analysis as well based on risk assessment per crop.
